Types of Brochures

Bi Fold Brochures

This is the simplest fold, where a single sheet of paper is folded in half, creating four panels (two on each side). It's commonly used for basic brochures and can be opened like a book.

Tri Fold Brochures

In a tri-fold brochure, a single sheet of paper is divided into three equal sections by folding it into thirds. This creates six panels (three on each side) and is a popular choice for brochures as it allows for a clear separation of content.

Z Fold Brochures

A Z-fold brochure is folded into a zigzag pattern, creating three panels on each side. It's called an accordion fold because it resembles the shape of an accordion when fully extended. This format is great for presenting content in a sequential or step-by-step manner.

Roll Fold Brochures

In a roll fold brochure, the paper is divided into multiple panels that are folded inward one after the other, creating a compact, folded format. It's often used when there is a lot of information to present.

Accordion Fold Brochures

Unlike the Z-fold, which creates three panels on each side, the accordion fold creates multiple panels that stack on top of each other. This allows for a longer continuous presentation of content when unfolded.

Double Parallel Fold Brochures

In a double parallel fold, the paper is folded in half horizontally and then folded in half vertically. This results in eight panels (four on each side) and is used when you need to organize a substantial amount of content.

Formax does great printing. And does unique special orders that I could not find anywhere else especially for the price. I needed a special full edge seal lamination job with extra lamination on one side. This allowed me to cut a hole with a hole punch into the side with the extra wide lamination going over the edge of the paper. This was so I could use a key ring to hold pages together into a little booklet that could fit into your pocket. They will do the binding for you also, much better than a key ring if you prefer. But I used all the money I had to buy more copies instead and do the binding on my own. Because of their excellent job I have booklets that can withstand the elements and not get water damage for a long time. My booklets are designed to be in the outdoor elements. I am happy to support a US based company. And the staff that I have spoken with have been great, polite and pleasant. Helping with any adjustments during the ordering process to make sure everything is just right with out any problems before it goes to be printed. I don't want to leave anyone out, which is why I am not mentioning names. I am sure they are all great. I wanted to print a new, 5th edition of a book about my life. Three previous editions of the book were printed by a company that, unfortunately, went out of business during the COVID pandemic. So I needed to find a new company to print my book. It turned out not to be a simple process. Sometimes I was unable to receive a response to my email from a printing company, sometimes a company did not have a white paper, and I wanted my book to be printed on the white paper, sometimes a company did have a white paper, but only 60# and 80#, and I printed all previous editions of my book on the 70# paper, and wanted 70# paper for this edition too. Searching on Google, I came across a company named Formax Printing Solutions. My email to that company was answered the next day after I contacted them. I started communicating with an account representative of that company, a woman by the name Kristin Kronenberg. I had a considerable number of questions, and she answered all of them patiently, and each of her answers was precise and to the point. Formax had all I needed: the white paper, 70#, a cover paper for my (paperback) book of a proper color and thickness. And the price was reasonable. The books were printed well, for shipment, they were packed very carefully, in strong boxes, and all the books came in good shape. I am glad that I found Formax to print my book!
